Error Opening a Data Form: "Security and/or filtering has resulted in a required dimension not being represented on this data form."

Symptoms

In Hyperion Planning when you click on a data form, you get this message:

Security and/or filtering has resulted in a required dimension not being represented on this data form.

Cause

A new dimension was added or the user trying to open the webform does not have access to at least one dimension member in the webform.

Solution

Check the following:
  1. Login to Planning web as an administrator.
  2. Go to Administration -> Manage Security filters -> create the filter for the user that is unable to open the webform.
  3. Log in to the EAS console as admin -> Go to the Essbase server -> Drill down to the Database and Edit the filter for the user (Right click on Database -> Edit -> filters).
  4. Check that the READ filter for that user includes a member for all dimensions in the NONE access line.
Additionally:
  1. In Administration-> Dimensions, give access (to that user) to a member from the missing dimension in the READ access line (from the filter)
  2. Recreate the filter for that user.
  3. Check the filter in the EAS console -> Essbase to make sure that changes have been reflected.
